The Perfect Derma Peel at Medical Skin Therapeutics
The Perfect Derma Peel is formulated with a carefully selected blend of acids and antioxidants, with the addition of a gentle numbing agent to relieve discomfort. It works by dissolving and peeling away the top layer of facial skin to reveal the fresh, clear skin underneath.
This peel is the only medical-grade chemical peel formula that contains glutathione, a natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent with powerful anti-aging properties. The unique ingredients and balanced formula ensures minimal irritation and downtime, and makes it a great choice for clients of all skin types and color.

Before and After Photos
Please note that the patients featured in these images may have undergone other treatments in conjunction with the Perfect Derma Peel. This photo gallery does not guarantee that everyone who undergoes this treatment will obtain these or similar results.
Immediately following one treatment, you’ll start to notice improvements in your skin’s tone and tightness, in addition to a clearer, brighter complexion. Your skin will begin peeling 3 days after treatment, and will stop peeling by day 6 or 7. At this point, you will see decreased acne density, as well as reduced visibility of signs of aging, sun damage and acne scarring.
To have your skin looking its absolute best, we recommend a series of 2–4 treatments, each spaced four weeks apart; thereafter, a touch-up appointment once every 3–6 months will help you maintain your results.
Who Is the Ideal Candidate for Perfect Derma Peel?
The Perfect Derma Peel is an ideal choice for anyone looking to brighten up a dull complexion, tone or tighten aging skin, or reduce signs of hyperpigmentation and sun damage. It’s also an excellent treatment for a range of acne-related issues; it can help clear pores, heal acne lesions, prevent breakouts and even fade minor acne scars.
As with all chemical peels, pregnant and nursing women should avoid this treatment. Those with sensitive skin, severe outbreaks, open sores or active skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema and psoriasis should never undergo chemical peels. Patients who have taken Accutane in the past 12 months should also avoid this treatment.
What to Expect From the Procedure
Once you are seated in our comfortable treatment room, one of our certified practitioners will apply the Perfect Derma Peel solution to your face and neck. This process usually takes about 15 minutes. You will notice a strong chemical smell and a slight itchiness upon application – this discomfort will fade within 30–60 seconds as the numbing agent takes effect.
Once the application is complete, you’re free to go about your day. You will be instructed to leave the peel solution on your face for 6 additional hours. At the end of this period, you may wash the solution off – or, for a deeper peel and a more dramatic end result, you can leave the solution on overnight and wash it off during your morning cleanse.
After the peel is applied, your skin will typically appear dark red and sunburnt, but you should not feel any discomfort. It is important to avoid sun exposure at this point, as your skin will be very vulnerable to damage.
Included in your treatment is a home care kit containing the Perfect Derma Moisturizer (1% hydrocortisone) and a package of Post-Peel Towelettes, which are soaked with a calming, hydrating solution.
On the first day following treatment, use the Post-Peel Towelettes as needed to reduce skin tightness, redness and itching. Gently press one onto the treatment area and allow the formula to soak into your skin.
On the second day, use a towelette at the end of your morning cleanse, and let the solution rest on your skin for 30 minutes before applying makeup or sunscreen. Apply one final towelette at the end of your evening cleanse and let the solution rest on your skin overnight.
Peeling will begin on the third day following treatment, and will continue for 3–4 days. Apply the Perfect Derma Moisturizer as needed during this time to manage peeling and ease skin tightness. Avoid picking at the shedding skin as this can lead to injury and infection.
Avoid sun exposure before and during the peeling process. If you do spend time outdoors, wear sunscreen with SPF 30 and reapply as needed every 2 hours.
A number of other treatments are available at our spa to address similar skin care concerns as the Perfect Derma Peel. These treatments include:
- Epidermal leveling – also known as microblading, this physical skin exfoliation procedure can help fade acne scarring, uneven pigmentation and fine lines
- Medical peels – these unique peels work to directly stimulate collagen production in the skin’s deeper layers, improving skin’s tone, firmness and radiance
- Clear + Brilliant – a laser skin resurfacing treatment designed to improve skin texture and tone, and give you a vibrant, glowing complexion
- JuVaShape – a radio frequency thermotherapy procedure for toning and tightening thin, loose and aging skin on the face and body

Is the Perfect Derma Peel a deep peel?
No, the Perfect Derma Peel is a medium-depth peel. As such, it is strong enough to provide consistent, dramatic results, but is gentle enough to be safe and suitable for people of all skin types and color.
Can the Perfect Derma Peel be applied to other parts of the body?
Although it’s most commonly applied to the face, this peel can also be used on the neck, chest and hands. The application process and final results will vary depending on the treatment area.
What types of acne scarring can the Perfect Derma Peel treat?
