FaceTite at Skin Therapeutics
FaceTite is an advanced contouring system developed by InMode, the makers of multiple industry-leading technologies, including Evolve body-shaping treatments. This procedure provides results similar to a lower facelift or neck liposuction without the difficulties of general anesthesia and a long recovery period.
FaceTite technology administers radio frequency energy both on the skin’s surface and below. This combination melts away fat while promoting the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins essential to skin firmness. As your skin heals, it will be tighter and firmer than before, eliminating or reducing the appearance of sagging jowls or a double chin.

Before and After Photos
Please note that the patients featured in these images may have undergone other treatments in conjunction with a FaceTite procedure. This photo gallery does not guarantee that everyone who undergoes FaceTite will obtain these or similar results.
After your FaceTite procedure, you’ll see a noticeable difference in the firmness and silhouette of your chin and jawline after about 1 week. These results will develop rapidly over the next 3 months and may continue to increase subtly over the next year.
FaceTite results are long-lasting, provided you continue to take care of your skin by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, using SPF every day and avoiding smoking. While the procedure is FDA-approved to last for 1 year, many people find the results remain far longer.
Who are the Best Candidates for FaceTite?
FaceTite is most effective for men and women experiencing mild to moderate loose skin and excess fat on the lower face, jaw or neck. It’s ideal for people looking for a nonsurgical alternative to a mini or lower facelift. FaceTite can also help maintain lower facelift results for people who have undergone plastic surgery in the past and now wish to restore or prolong its effects.
If you are pregnant or have had other facial aesthetic procedures or surgeries in the past several months, you’ll need to wait before scheduling a FaceTite procedure. At your in-person or virtual consultation, we’ll discuss if FaceTite is right for you!
What Can You Treat with FaceTite?
FaceTite is a contouring procedure that targets the chin, jawline and neck specifically. It addresses:
- Decreased collagen and elastin production in the face
- Excess neck skin
- Sagging jowls
- Submental fullness in the chin (double chin)
- Wrinkles and creases in the lower face
What to Expect During Your FaceTite Treatment
A FaceTite procedure is much less complicated than a traditional facelift and does not require general anesthesia. First, the surgeon will administer a local anesthetic to numb the lower part of your face, ensuring your comfort throughout the session. He will then make a tiny incision in the treatment area and insert a cannula, a small metal probe similar to a hypodermic needle. He then moves the cannula beneath the skin while simultaneously passing an electrode over the skin’s surface.
The two tools generate an electric field, heating the subdermal tissue with radio frequency energy. The heat causes fat cells in the area to die off while also encouraging the production of collagen and elastin in the skin itself. The total time for the procedure is approximately 1 hour.
Following treatment, you will experience some bruising and swelling, most or all of which will resolve within 7 days. Because of these side effects, most people choose to take 4–5 days after their appointment. We will provide you with a compression garment to wear for the first 72 hours, then at night for the next few weeks. This garment will assist in reducing swelling and support your skin while it heals. You can fully resume your regular activities and exercise after 1 week.
Complementary and Alternative Treatments
Many people choose to undergo another of our leading-edge medical aesthetic services on the same day of their FaceTite appointment. These procedures work in conjunction with FaceTite to reduce the most common signs of aging.
- Radio frequency microneedling: Our most popular treatment to pair with FaceTite, this procedure involves penetrating your skin with ultrafine needles to deliver radio frequency energy, stimulating collagen production and accelerating your natural healing mechanisms for smoother, tighter skin
- Laser360: This skin rejuvenation technology improves skin color, texture and tone. Eliminate fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, discoloration and visible blood vessels for a younger appearance
- Injectable fillers: When used with FaceTite, injectable fillers sculpt your face even further. Enhance your new jawline or add youthful fullness to your cheeks or lips
- Kybella: As an alternative to FaceTite, consider this fat loss solution: A synthetic acid is injected into your chin and neck area to kill the fat cells, reducing the appearance of a double chin

FaceTite FAQ
Does FaceTite leave a scar?
Essentially, no. The FaceTite procedure involves two tiny incisions at the back of your jaw, just behind your ears. Any scarring would be virtually invisible.
Is FaceTite painful?
The procedure itself is not painful, as the lower half of your face will be completely numb. After the anesthetic wears off, you’ll likely experience soreness for the next few days.
How do I prepare for a FaceTite procedure?
Certain lifestyle habits and medications should be ceased before your procedure, as they increase bruising, swelling and bleeding. During the 30 days leading up to your appointment, avoid all forms of smoking or vaping. For at least 2 weeks prior, do not drink alcohol and discontinue the use of aspirin and NSAIDs such as ibuprofen.
Will I need multiple procedures?
No. A single FaceTite session is enough to dramatically alter your jawline, eliminating excess fat and firming loose skin. However, you and your skin will continue to age, so the effects are not 100% permanent. You may choose to undergo FaceTite again after several years if your jawline starts to sag again.
How Much Does FaceTite Cost?
The cost of a FaceTite procedure varies from practice to practice and is determined by a host of factors including clinician experience and geography. In the US, the average cost of this procedure is $5,000 – less than half the cost of a traditional facelift. At your consultation, we’ll discuss the cost of the procedure and come up with a solution that fits your budget!
