DiamondGlow at Skin Therapeutics
The DiamondGlow treatment uses a diamond-tipped microdermabrasion handpiece, equipped with vacuum suction. With this device, one of our certified practitioners will carefully and gently exfoliate your surface skin, revealing the smoother, brighter skin underneath.
What makes the DiamondGlow handpiece exceptional is that it not only abrades the surface skin, it simultaneously infuses the fresh skin below with enriching serums, carefully selected for your skin’s needs. This allows the active ingredients to penetrate deep into your skin, for dramatic effects and long-lasting results.
For your DiamondGlow treatment, we will select one of five serums; each address a specific skin concern:
- Ultra hydrating – for dry skin
- Vitamin C – for sun damage repair and antioxidant protection
- Skin brightening – for dull complexion or uneven pigment
- Pore clarifying – for oily and acne-prone skin
- Advanced anti-aging – for fine lines, wrinkles and sun spots

Before and After Photos
Some of the patients featured in these images may have undergone other treatments in addition to the Perfect Derma Peel. This photo gallery does not guarantee that everyone who undergoes this treatment will achieve identical or similar results.
Immediately after treatment, you will notice improvements in your skin’s texture and tone, as well as reduced acne density, hyperpigmentation and visible signs of aging. These changes will become more dramatic over the following two days.
By the time your surface skin fully heals, it will appear firmer, smoother, more hydrated and deeply refreshed, with a brighter and more even complexion. You can expect to see up to a 70% increase in skin fullness and plumpness. Peak results will remain apparent for days to weeks after the treatment.
Who is the Ideal Candidate for DiamondGlow?
The DiamondGlow treatment is perfect for anyone looking to brighten a dull complexion or even out unbalanced skin tone. It can effectively reduce the signs of aging and sun damage, and clear up mild to moderate acne. It’s also a smart choice for anyone who just wants their skin to look and feel soft, smooth and deeply refreshed.
What to Expect During Treatment
The DiamondGlow procedure takes 30 minutes to perform in full and involves several steps. This treatment is noninvasive and requires no downtime; most clients describe it as gentle or even soothing.
To begin, one of our practitioners will gently cleanse your facial skin and apply toner. She will apply and wash off an enzyme treatment to help loosen dead skin. Then, she will use the DiamondGlow handpiece to simultaneously exfoliate your surface skin, extract debris from pores, and infuse your new skin with the chosen serum.
Next your practitioner will apply a custom-formulated face mask to help soothe and enrich your skin. Lastly, she will wash off the mask and apply your choice of face, eye and neck creams, as well as an SPF solution to help protect your skin from sun damage.
Some patients may notice some slight redness in the treatment area immediately after a procedure; this should fade in only about an hour. Be sure to avoid washing your face for at least 6 hours after treatment, to give the active ingredients time to fully absorb into your skin.
Additional treatments
If you’re looking to address deep wrinkles, scarring or severe acne, it’s unlikely that you’ll see a dramatic improvement after one treatment. Instead, we recommend a set of 3–4 treatments, spaced 3–4 weeks apart.
Once your skin is looking its best, you can maintain these results with a touch-up appointment once a month. To sustain your skin between appointments, our practitioner will formulate an individualized, medical-grade skin care regimen for you using DiamondGlow products.
Complementary Treatments
For maximum skin benefits, you may opt for a complementary treatment while undergoing the DiamondGlow session:
- Epidermal levelling is a physical exfoliation procedure that will help the enriching serums penetrate deeper layers of skin, for even more dramatic results
- A light chemical peel can also be used in conjunction with the DiamondGlow to address deeper wrinkles or severe acne
- Injectables such as Botox or fillers can also be safely administered at the same time as your procedure

FAQ
Can DiamondGlow be used elsewhere on the body?
The DiamondGlow can be used on many parts of the body other than the face. It can be used to treat stretch marks on the abdomen or breasts, back acne, cellulite on the thighs and dry, cracking or discolored skin on the hands, feet, arms and elbows. The application process and treatment results will vary depending on the area being treated
Who should avoid the DiamondGlow?
The DiamondGlow procedure is not recommended for pregnant or nursing mothers, patients with diabetes and autoimmune diseases, or anyone with open sores or injectable fillers in the treatment area. Patients who take Accutane must stop using the medication 12 months prior to treatment.
Is the DiamondGlow procedure painful?
Some patients may experience some mild discomfort or irritation during the exfoliation portion of the procedure, however the hydrating, ingredient-rich infusion that takes place at the same time ensures this discomfort will be minimal. Most patients describe the procedure as gentler and more comfortable than traditional microdermabrasion.
Are there side effects with the DiamondGlow procedure?
Typical side effects include skin redness and a slight stinging sensation, both of which usually fade 1hour after treatment. Very rarely, the DiamondGlow can cause severe skin irritation and allergic reactions, however this is usually due to improper client care – and with Skin Therapeutics, you can be certain that you’ll receive only the best.
